Who We Are

Lights Out is a Faith based non-profit whose focus is on our young– we believe that every kid deserves the chance to hear and respond to “the greatest love story ever.”

We are fueled by caring adults whose main interest is to meet kids where they are; entering their comfort zones, neighborhoods, schools & sports to build authentic friendship. Eventually gaining the respect to be heard and ultimately share the love of God with each child.

The way we accomplish this is by incorporating three different strategies.

  1. Youth Group –

Where we will have high-energy clubs full of fun, food and crazy games but most importantly a message from the bible.

  1. Athletics –

Where we will provide weekly training in a variety of different sports. We believe that quality youth sports and youth development programs can improve and transform the lives of youth across the nation.

  1. Entertainment (Young Entrepreneurs) –

This is our fundraising portion of the organization, where we help youth to explore their talents by providing a safe place for youth to party and celebrate different events.

The sole purpose of Lightz Out, Inc. is to provide youth with the opportunity to be heard while equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in life. Our goal is to provide teens with a safe place to have fun while having the opportunity to hear and learn about the greatest love known to man (The Love OF Jesus Christ).

We understand that by providing a consistent mentoring and youth development environment, youth will let go of protective walls that preclude trust. Therefore, the success of this program is centered on positive personal relationships being fostered between youth and loyal adults.

Our Slogan

“Even when the lights are out we’re still shining.”

Motto

Bible Verse: 1st John 2:8 Yet I am writing you a new command; Its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

Our Deepest Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that the other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; its in everyone. and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, Our presence automatically liberates others. - By Marianne Williamson
